Working in Ends - The Final Step?

On this project it is definitely the last step. Trim is on, and blocking complete!

I love it when I make myself work the ends in when I finish instead of waiting days, weeks, months. Now cutting the ends off is often a different story. I have things that have never had all the ends trimmed (for shame!). This one I have to wait eight hours for the glue I used to dry.

I go on the assumption that knitters don’t love to sew, so whenever possible, I make it so all the construction is done on the needles. For this piece I was running low on yarn, so I worked it all as one piece, using JSSBO. I’ll explain another time.

The balance of the yarn left will go into the button collage. Every inch of this yarn has been enjoyed. The project uses just shy of 3 full skeins of worsted yarn, but the size is adjustable.

I’ll be talking a bit about this project at Plan to Finish at 11 am or 6 pm PST on Wednesday. No charge, but you have to sign up.
